Over the last 10 years I have learned to appreciate just how much regular exercise can help improve your body and mind. The benefits and how much better you feel after a good training session are well worth the effort If you help your body to be its best, then you will be far better equipped to lead a fitter, fuller, happier and maybe even longer life. I also know just how difficult it can be to lose weight and keep it off. I really can empathise with clients and understand how hard it is to lose weight. By changing eating habits and building regular exercise into your life I can help you do it.

I have spent all of my adult life fat- not big boned, not tall, just fat! No matter how unhappy I was with my weight, and no matter how much money I ploughed into Weight Watchers, I would always lose a stone to then gain a stone and a half a few months later. I was the classic yo-yo dieter, starving myself of food when I was on a diet, but not batting an eyelid at the amount of alcohol I consumed over the weekend. Exercise for me was a big No No, I occasionally went for a swim, but would never step foot in a gym after all they are full of fit, slim people, aren't they?! In 2004 I was also diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (ms) and my life changed. With the help of Louise's personal training, I adopted a different attitude to food and alcohol. Louise's personal training educated me in good and bad foods and stopped me thinking the only way to lose weight was to diet. I was taught to do a lifestyle change and adopt different eating habits for life and not just a few months. Louise convinced me to join a gym in January 2006. Due to the ms, there were certain restrictions on the level of exercise I could do initially, but with determination and perseverance I am now at a fitness level of any "normal" person. I have been following my new lifestyle of diet and exercise, and I have gone to 15stone to 11½ stone. Or in other words from a size 18 to a size 12. My general health has improved dramatically, and the increased muscle strength as a result of exercise has had a positive impact on the ms. At my last appointment with my neurologist, he said that my weight loss and regular exercise has directly contributed to me still walking without the use of aids. Without a doubt I would not have been able to do this on my own. I needed educating in food and exercise and Louise showed me the way. Helen Horton
Louise has personal trained me now for 12 months during this time I have seen amazing results. Louise's personal training helped me to achieve and maintain my target weight by making training fun and interesting. No matter how I felt on arrival I always felt refreshed (and in a positive way shattered) at the end of our personal training session. Louise seemed to know just how hard to push depending on my physical state at that time. My twice weekly sessions not only toned my body they also developed my fitness to a level that I've not had since I was a teenager and never thought I'd see again at 35. Goals were set, then achieved and then re set to keep me in the focused in the right direction. I recently completed my first ever 5k run for the British Heart foundation and Louise's personal training has made me determined to run a 10k before the end of the year. Louise is extremely easy to work with, and from our first personal training session her style made me feel at ease and relaxed, making personal training easy (Never tell a PT training felt easy though). During personal training the encouragement and directions that Louise delivers are perfect for ongoing motivation. Louise also became a regular on my radio show, as listeners enjoyed her friendly and informative manner. Her people skills were perfect for this role. Louise will not only be greatly missed by me but by the many listeners of Touch Radio. Who not only enjoyed hearing me being "put through my paces" but also her superb health and fitness advice. It has been a pleasure having Louise as my Personnel Trainer, I not only feel healthier than ever before, but look fitter, and now have the confidence in my ability to maintain my fitness levels.
